Autobase Citroen Celebrate 5-Years in Business
It was party time on Friday 13th at Autobase Citroen in Walsall Road, Darlaston when they welcomed local football legend Steve Bull and comic Dominic Woodward to help them celebrate their 5th anniversary in business.
All staff members were there along with Bek Hassan – Managing Director of Citroen and DS.
“It was a great night,” said one staff member. “Great food, great music, a fantastic Comedian to entertain us, and the presentations, a real night to remember!”
The Allibhai group acquired the business in 2011. Previously it was a Hyundai dealership, but the way ahead was to become a new franchise partner with Citroen. The dealership was renovated to fulfil the high standards Citroen demands. The new look and feel of the dealership means that it is now a landmark feature in Walsall.
“We have established a good team around us,” said Ali Allibhai, the Director of Autobase. “It means that soon, we’ll be able to bring in a new Business Centre for Fleet Sales and we’re looking to expand in the used car market.”
Ali and the motivated staff at Autobase Citroen have worked tirelessly to grow the business over the last 5 years. Ali is also a prominent business man in the Black Country and takes a real interest in the local community. He is on the Walsall Economic board and he joined the Black Country Chamber of Commerce 5 years ago, where he now serves on the Board of Directors.
Award Winning Company
They have won many awards including the Citroen Excellence Award for new dealer and sales team as well as being finalists at the national Motor Trade Awards which recognises quality performance across all motor manufacturers.
Over the past 5 years Autobase Citroen’s performance has been such that turnover has increased almost 10-fold and they continue to exceeded all their targets year-on- year.
But Ali and the team are not resting any past glories. “We have achieved our 5-year objective and are now looking to grow. We have great plans for the future which includes a new dealership in the next 2-3 years . Indeed, the party’s over, but there are exciting times ahead!
