Citroen Motability (Due to Changes in Manufacturer Policies, Please call us for details on availability)

Due to the varying restrictions across the UK, Motability are adopting a flexible solution to applications and handovers. Motability will allow applications to be created and submitted remotely, via telephone or video call. However, as always, the customer or appointee must be present at the point of application.  

Handovers can be carried out on a ‘click and collect’ basis on dealership premises in accordance with Covid safety guidelines and only if you as the customer, feel comfortable to do so. Home delivery of Scheme vehicles will not be permitted. Service, maintenance and repair work can continue as usual provided it’s conducted in a Covid-secure environment.

How does it work?

The Motability Scheme offers disabled people (either physical or cognitively) who receive one of the below a brand new car every 3 years:


  • Higher rate Mobility Component (HMRC) of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
  • Enhanced Rate of the Motability Component (ERMC) of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
  • War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplements (WPMS)
  • Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)

You may be eligible to join the Scheme if you have at least 12 months remaining on your higher rate mobility allowance.

There are three pricing options to choose from. Some cost less than your weekly allowance, others cost the same as your weekly allowance, and some require an Advance Payment.

Motability Operations Ltd receives the 4 weekly payment for the lease agreement as a direct transfer from the relevant benefits agency.

If you are eligible for the Scheme, all you need to do is contact a Motability dealer and arrange an appointment with their Motability Scheme specialist. We work with a nationwide network of dealerships and each has at least one Motability Scheme specialist that will guide you through the process.

Lots of our customers don’t drive. That’s why the insurance with your lease is for up to three named drivers, so your car could be driven by a family member, friend or carer.
